I am in love with VEnice! I have been wandering around and I like all that I see!! The city is amazing. We went to the beach yesterday and did our latin. The young woman whos tutoring me is named Costanza and she's amazing. She is from Trento which is about two hours north of here. We will continue our Latin lessons after the semester begins and I will be able to go to her house ni the mountains. She has also been helping me with my Italian. Nothing really too much to post on, just wandering the city. Mom - my professor said that she recommends coming in Oct not Nov so if you can i would recommend that, but if you cant, it will still be a lot of fun! By the way, i might need a new keyboard. My enter key is sticking now and there's nothing i can do except wait for it to be done. When it is, i try to squeeze in everything i can. The backspace key is also broken. What should i dO??? anyway, i have to go to latin lessons now, but will try to post again soon. Lots and lots and lots of lo

So I have a little story to tell you that is falcon-status awkward:
I work with this girl named Mariel and we disagree on everything. I love to read and Mariel hates it. She would rather see the movie. Well, you know how much I love Harry Potter. I am super excited for the release of the 7th book! So Mariel and I were talking about Harry Potter (she's only seen the movies) and we were starting to get into our usual fight about whether or not anything Harry Potter is good. She was asking me if she should buy the books just in case anyone would want to borrow them or in case her future children want to read them. I said no. And then she said, "Yeah I and don't want me kids to be that kinky." I said, "What? Kinky like me? I hope your kids are exactly like me. Haha." And then she said, "Oh God, I hope not. That would be awful!"
Soooo awkward. I was so put off by her comment. Even if that's how you feel, you don't say that to someone in a serious manner!
Anyhoo. The weather has been fabulous today. Can't wait to go on a bike ride!
HI..Glad you're liking Venice! Sounds like u're getting a headstart on your italian! Should make it easier when class starts in the fall! Patti and I talked about trying to change our trip to October so we are looking into that. Do u want me to check with Dell about replacing your computer? Can you give me your computer serial number in a separate email and I ll call them and see what can be done. Also, can you or your professor recommend an online italian course for us to take before going? Would be nice to have some italian vocabulary before going!
