So, I ended up seeing a total of 2 operas and 1 ballet, all for under 15 euro. YES. it was all amazing. I saw Otello by Verdi and then this really weird Puccini opera. It was good though.
I met these Australians at the opera. They were hysterical. So they invited me out to this bar with them. I went and I had a blast. It was the 3 australians, 1 chilean girl and me. We had so much fun. They were playing really bad 90's american music. hilarious. got home really, really late. but it was worth it.
yesterday, i just wandered some more. went to the museum of sound, which was all about viennese composers, music, and the way that humans process sound. it was really really cool. you even got to make your own cd (if you paid, i didnt) and there was a really cool part where you sat in a chair and every move you made corresponded to a sound. i really liked it.
i guess that's it! overall vienna = good trip. but i can't wait to get back to venice and sleep in my bed and have a fridge and just some sense of home.
midterms week after next then rome then mom then home! crazy how fast the time goes!
