The Opera that Wasn't Really an Opera

So, yesterday, I went to the opera. Well, it was in the opera house, anyway. We saw Romeo and Juliet, the ballet. YES. It was SO amazing, AND i only paid 3.50 euro for the ticket. Going again tonight.

One of the guys who is staying in the same hostel room as me went with me (name: murray, australian) and while we were in line for the standing room tickets, we were talking about colgate and the girl behind me goes "you go to colgate?! no way! I went to hamilton!" seriously? how weird is that?!?! we talked for a while and all went out for dinner and a drink after the show. good times.

today, murray and i grabbed bad coffee and then went our separate ways. i went to a cheap bookstore and bought some pretty cool books and sat in the park and read. I know, i'm in vienna, i should go out and see stuff, but doing that, with a loaf of bread and some cheese, was exactly what i wanted to be doing. it was a very nice, relaxing day. i enjoyed it.

came back to the hostel to change clothes and then heading back to the opera. it's Othello by Verdi (i think) tonight. Should be sweet.

Guess that's it for now!

Love from Vienna!

Ally
